As I walked into the backyard I noticed the busted electric wire on the fence. The wire that was supposed to “keep” my dog from jumping the fence.
My dogs name is Teea and she’s a terrier. She’s really hyper and when she runs she looks like a dash of white and brown. We really don’t know why she’s hyper and don’t intend to stop it. If we intended to stop it we would’ve already. Its just that she seems happy when she runs. And we like to see her happy.
Anyways the reason we got the wire was because when we put the dogs up she would jump the fence. So we decided to put a stop to it. We got in my grandpa’s truck and drove to home depot. We got the wire and asked a worker about it and he got this this-is-the-best-wire-in-the-world look. So we bought the wire and set it up. Two days later we let the dogs run outside till dusk. When we put them up Teea jumped or tried to jump and go shocked. Unfortunately when she got shocked it flipped her over the gate. This kept going on for a few days and we got sick of it. Again we went to home depot and this time complained. The worker just gave us an oh-I-didn’t-know-the-wire-wouldn’t-work look. The worker told us we needed to buy a fence extension. So we bought it. We added the fence extension. A few days later we let the dog out. After a week of letting them run we put them up. For a few days she didn’t try to jump the fence. Again for another week not even an attempt. Then lightning stuck and the energy wire deactivated. And Teea jumped the fence.
